Welcome in the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna
BGUW R. Hromniak
Our unique plant collection includes critically endangered species as well as exotic and native plants. Many of them are being studied by academics and used for the education of students. The groves and meadows of the garden are a valuable natural habitat for wild animals. For our visitors, the garden is a place of rest and wonder.
The botanical garden is a Core Facility of the Faculty of Life Sciences and adjoins the Department of Botany and Biodiversity Research.
The Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna is supported from these partners and sponsors.
